Angels

It's funny how one minute you can be feeling sorry for yourself and the next you feel so grateful for what you have. I often wish that I could just take away the pain that my friends suffer and carry their burdens for them. I know though, that it wasn't ever meant to be that way. Why? Because someone has already done that for us. I pray so fervently now for my friends who are suffering internally, who are going through rough waters right now. My eyes fill with tears as I think of the trials that they are currently facing, and I wish so much that I could take it all away or at least be there every step of the way with them as they trudge through on their journey. I'm thankful for the testimony that I have of the atonement that reassures me that everything will be okay. I say to my friends that are facing a brick wall in their lives "...peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment. And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all they foes. Thy friends do stand by thee, and they shall hail thee again with warm hearts and friendly hands." (Doctrine and Covenants 121: 7-10) I hope and pray that I can help you in some way, whether by this simple testimony or by lending my shoulder to cry on. You are not alone. Elder Jeffry R. Holland said, "God never leaves us alone, never leaves us unaided in the challenges that we face." He sends angels, both seen and unseen, to aid you and to lift you up in your most challenging times. Don't give up. Turn to the Lord, and let him heal you. He's already felt the pain that you are facing, and He wants you to give it all over to Him now. Remember, it shall be "but a small moment... and thy friends do stand by [you], and they shall hail [you] again with warm hearts and friendly hands."
